Welcome to the run up to Christmas!

“Share a book” – The setting is fortunate to have the library bus visit once a month on a Tuesday afternoon.  Julie is our librarian and changes the books.  Please share the book with your child and return by 30th November.

Lunch Boxes

We have had to move the box from by the coat pegs as the children can’t reach their coats.  Please put all lunch boxes on the table by the fireplace in the playroom.  We have to deal with up to 25 lunch boxes including the staffs so awareness to size and hygiene is a must.

Parking

Parents with children at Cam Hopton will already have seen the parking map, please see link: Parking Map and Information.doc.  It's really important you do so to avoid a £30 fine!

Teddy Tombola

Julie runs a fund raising stall at Cam Hopton School Christmas Fair.  This is on Friday 27th November; please donate any surplus soft toys.

Cold/wet weather gear

We take the children out to play every day, even in the wind and rain we walk to the garden and back.  Please ensure you child has adequate bad weather clothing and also slippers or indoor shoes – all clearly named of course!

Christmas

We are planning our Christmas festivities:

Tuesday 8th December will be the playgroup nativity at St Georges Church at .  We shall have a raffle and a cake stall.  Your child will receive a note about their role in the nativity and your help in providing a SIMPLE costume will be much appreciated.

On Monday 14th December there will be a Playgroup party at St Dominics Church hall, Kingshill Dursley, (behind Lidl) .  Food and games will be provided, Mother Christmas will visit (Please provide a gift maximum value £5.00 wrapped and named).  There will be no playgroup at the School House, pick up and drop off will be at St Dominic’s.  All children are welcome, but non-Monday children need to bring an adult along.  (If this causes any issues with parents please speak with Rosa or another member of staff).

Merry Christmas everyone!

Rosa, Ange, Mona, Julie, Kate, Penny and Eileen.
